Work description:
Absafe installed an ATD Cardox blasting system including fill station and operational equipment as well as carrying out all field works related to Cardox operations.
To assist with regular preventative maintenance Absafe conducts scheduled clearance blasting on the APM horizonal rotation kiln every 3-months. This regular blasting prevents excessive ring build-up within the kiln which could lead to blockages and a delay in production.
Notable fact:
The APM rotation kiln runs at 600-degrees Celsius during normal operation. ATD Cardox CO² systems can be used in high heat applications, so there is no need for extended shutdown of the kiln
